ah i dont think its a "brush" thing, I think its more of look at the drawing is if its in a 3d space, maybe draw 3d grids on the character? that sometimes helps me, avoid "pillow shading" btw. i see a lot of artist who use it and it just doesnt make sense lol

Mike Mignola’s layouts impress me. No fancy tricks. Mostly using deceptively simple looking grids, he always creates interesting balance and flow between panel sizes. His use of “mood” panels and fearless amounts of negative space is impressive. A truly masterful storyteller.

Yes! I can't stress how important perspective grids are to environments, esp architectural ones. I almost always set one up! I like setting it up on procreate, then I draw the basic shapes as rectangles and such. After, I import it to PS & go over the basic shapes for the sketch
