lapvona by ottessa moshfegh is a hit or miss - for me it was a hit, but just barely. it explores the “why” in “why do we do horrible things to each other?”, where most characters were perfect in their ugliness, others were hanging behind, making some scenes feel unnecessary

@JuicedPears While I disagree that your designs don't hit, I am still willing to give advice on how I do mine. The best I got is to make the most detailed sketch you can of a simple design, and then simplify it back down into a normal character.
