Same honestly, all we had back then were Etch A Sketch, Lite Brite and MS Paint with a shoddy mouse

Kids these days have it good with their cheap, amazing Clip Studio Paint, tablets and a plethora of tutorials at their disposal compared to our crappy "How To Draw Manga" books :P

Since the novel is Japanese, I wanted to it this that sort of "manga" first page look
The neon lamps are quite important in the story. Because Mishima was criticizing the fact that Japan was getting too influenced by the US.
