This is the Northrop F-15 Reporter, a photo-recce development of the P-61 Black Widow night fighter. Although it only saw limited USAF service, F-15's mapped North Korea from their base in Japan, before the outbreak of the Korean War, which proved very useful!👍🏻

Constructed simple geometry with the illustration overlayed so I can align it, projection mapped the result, split up the illustration into parts based on what elements overlap others and filled in the gaps, then finally moved the UV islands to match the new part locations

Koz and his lovely, armor plated crocodile scales.. or at least the top half that I’ve mapped out. His abs are actually armored as well, just like a croc belly, I think I just got lazy.

This blew up a bit; might as well reveal how this was all done

The map file for Another Dimension comprises of several layers of textures mapped to flat planes. What I more or less did was paste images over the original sprites used, that's it.

However the problem of linear interp in w between two vectors is you might end up going into a part of the space which is not mapped from Z (also mentioned in the paper). Here is a bad diagram to illustrate:

You just gotta go to options>controls>play style and set the play style to simple, that should fix it, and if you wanna know my mapping, I have jump mapped to the A button, spin mapped to B and move camera left/right with the bumpers (You can also control cam with second stick)

UV mapped the sword tonight; still have to make slight adjustments to it, but it's nearly ready to be thrown into substance painter. Gotta say, working on the geometry of this model has been a fun challenge so far!
