#tbt to 2012 when I was still using oil paint. It's been years, but I started a new painting last weekend and would like to get back into using the medium. It's slow and messy and takes up space, but there's nothing that compares to the meditative feeling of painting physically.

There is a phase that I call “pre-burnout stage” where I am exhausted mentally & physically. There is a feeling that taking on even one more thing may destroy me. So I stop & go into hiding for a few days to recover preventing a much bigger burnout caused by pushing forward.

Nothing like a good night sleep or a short nap to help you feel better mentally of physically. #DailySketch
