I'm still bad at using the correct value, so it looks muddy.
Gonna continue practice again later.

Meanwhile, I'll still sticks to lines and color as usual for the daily commission.

Here's the protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia filters too, in that order. Even if they're not all the same value, if someone isn't used to seeing certain colors or can't see as wide a color range, a lot of these will look really similar: enough to be confusing.

But the thing is, I used distinct shades of the main color to create value, something I feel is sorely missing from the new genshin designs

So earlier this year a copy of Tove's Bilbo was put on sale and sold for a couple hundred euros, and since people have come out of the wood works selling their old dusty copies. There's like a new one every week and I'm just slowly watching it decrease in value, biding my time.

4. Over the next week I steadily built up detail in the background characters and model, getting super-helpful critique and paintovers from Paul (see the loose mockups here) to play around with lighting, pose, value, etc.
