I'm only thirty pages in Light Unto Another World Volume 2 and I see so many Shield Hero parallels. But the difference is that Yakov made his MC likable and the story much more straightforward. Also threatening and active villains. Don't know if that was on purpose or not.

18. Fave Villains: I love the Hoenn villains. They're misguided + well-meaning, INCREDIBLY stupid, have fun outfits. LOVE Maxie +Archie's dynamic together. Their ORAS designs/characters are also SO good. Top fav is Aqua + Archie, he's great in ORAS and I'm a beach person, so.
