fun lil friday trivia: Maka + Mina (2nd & 4th pic) were the spiritual successors to Merci + Kanu! Maka has the same stripes underneath his eyes as Merci to reflect that. Usin' Merci + Kanu fully now but I still love this lil fact {': Ended up w/ 2 very special couples 💕

I got an email from a parent whose kid has been re-reading STAR THE ELEPHANT, studying details in the pictures. On 4th read, he asked what animals these are (bottom panel) and what they are eating.

Answer: Wild boar (the piglets have longitudinal stripes), and durian fruit.
