i think i've found a better way to deal with gradients with limited colors. pixel/hash brush in 3 different values, posterize into 3, and then it's easy to wand and fill just 3 colors as the aliased edges became hard pixel edges instead.

Relative Height was been used to generate constraints for frame field in the first several alpha versions, and got removed from beta version, now it's back and been used to constraint concaves while inflating the mesh to kill thin edges.
