Only things I will say is he’s a sabertooth based off the more spotted ones and his top surgery scars should stay as it’s something of comfort as someone who is trans!

sure, but as I said - I think new Digimon still deliberately utilize those classic design motifs (the veins, scars, belts, tattered cloth).

Certainly, I see more in common than comparing Gen 1 to Gen 8 Pokemon.
