Thread: Honoré-Victorin Daumier (1808-79) died on this day. He is considered the greatest caricaturist in history (by me 😉) & he even went to gaol for lampooning the French king. His painting style employs an impressionist approach combined with acute observation.

Unpopular opinion thread: I understand why Smash fans usually prefer cartoony characters over human ones.

Smash Bros isn’t like Soul Cailbur, Tekken, or Mortal Kombat.

It’s a Nintendo mascot fighting game where you send opponents flying with hammers, koopa shell, and bombs.

Thread: Boris Grigoriev (1886-1939) died on this day. He was a Russian social realist painter who created unique & psychologically intense portraits. He is hardly known today but his art is fascinating

Yesterday introduced me to a new D&D backstory concept called 'knives' - things the GM can throw at characters to create adversity and drama in their games. I really like the idea, and had a few more thoughts that I'm going to share in a thread: (1/7)

Growing up near the village of Weston in Hertfordshire, even fifty years after there was always a story about two American bombers crashing in the local woods. I have always wanted to know more, so I decided to investigate.
