I think the stop motion one had this sort of ugly off beat quirkiness to it. fitting for its era. I get why they changed it but they made it something so GENERIC and TOOTHLESS. this one from like 2014 keeps the freakiness while also updating it which is a happy medium to me

Just binged 5 episodes of The Sandman by on Netflix and it captures the feel of the comics so incredibly well. Oh my gosh. The casting, the effects, the tone, so good.

The comics are some of my favorites and really showed me how different that medium can be!
