This is a commission for Violet-Scales who asked me to draw a continuation of the Miia x Robin commissions I did a while ago.
I experimented a bit with mesh transformation this time around for a scale texture. I think it went pretty well.

when doing short but thick fur, I typically approach it in a simplified form similar to triangular scales, and detail out from there. Using this sort of diamond shape I find personally allows me to shift them more organically along with utilizing soft or "lost" edges!

It's not even the definitive suit, it doesn't have the right scales, there's lines just thrown on their, it doesn't even come with the classic shield. $14 and it's not even made correctly

Idk if anyone have notes before but I often use runes when I draw dinos scales and dino fuss because I think runes are neat and allready look like scales and feathers sometimes.
