for the hair, I use watercolor edges like this, and for the shadows, a brush with a soft gradient on one side.

this is my approach for my style of skin rendering which can be used for any body part (or really my steps for rendering anything)

it really only takes 3 steps to get readable skin/body part, from there is just the cream on top.

Sucrose takes a small bite of cake, closing her eyes at the sweetness of the treat and savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment.
