SUNDAY FUNDAY SHERO FACTS: We are learning about Jackie Ormes, the first Black Woman 👩🏾‍🎨 cartoonist! In 1937 she created the original Torchy Brown comic strip for the Pittsburgh Courier. Torchy Brown was a small town girl who migrated north to become an entertainer in Harlem.
