After hearing about the contest, I wanted to get back to digital art.
I know most prefer cleaner drawings, but I wanted to be a bit sketchy. And heck, why not add some paper grain but with 90s thick line art? Looks pretty rad! 👍

It's fun to go back and see my progress on a drawing. My roughs haven't gotten any cleaner, probably better that way.
You don't really have to rough out much more than the anatomy and proportions. If you work on it too much, you'll just regret having to draw over it later.

I re-did this baby Gengar from last year, since I liked it a lot but the art was so low-res 🙈 The new one is a lot cleaner, but I hope it still looks just as cheeky!

I might do a couple more Pokemon down the road, since some of these deserve SO much more love 💜
