In the late 2000s there was also a remake in the style of the Resident Evil remake in development at Eden Games - who developed the fifth game in the series.

It would have kept the fixed camera angels too, it looked cool. Sadly it didn't get too far before being shut down.

Despite news of Studio Onoma's unfortunate closure by Embracer Group, Crystal Dynamics has clarified that development on Tomb Raider: Reloaded will continue.

No further news at this time. The game looks to honour the franchise — hopefully we can all play it someday.
