In response to a fan's question about the origin of Ketsuno Ana's first name “Crystel”, despite her & Seimei being japanese, Sorachi stated that they're both of mixed race.

And “Seimei” is an inherited name by the head of the Ketsuno Clan. (Gintama vol. 54)

I did it fast, like half a hour, to show it’s more about artistic direction rather than details, and just because they had little time doesn’t excuse the result, to me.

Since I was drawing Gouketsu, this manga - s2 comparison is a good example of how it’s not just an issue of s2 being rushed but just failing hard at knowing how to handle it:
Gouketsu is supposed to look menacing, this isn’t simply about drawing him detailed.
