1/2 One day's progress of "restoring" the #Halo 3 MC model. First half of the day was refitting & correcting the texture of the MCC undersuit (still wip). Working from both a study on the model's normal map as well as a photogrammetry model of the h3 statue as reference.

I got experimental this year and I'm proud. B&W concepts mixed with a lot of textures. Exploring different color palettes and approach to cómic style.
Because the story is themed around smoke and industrialisation (both historic and the present) I needed the book to have a heavy charcoal texture to represent the need to escape the effects of the smoke.
I wanted to push myself and take on a new direction/style from my last book.
