most of the time my head has ideas but i'm just not capable of drawing those at times and my style is REALLY all over the place.
also shading and blending causes me pain.

Guess I'll just drop my art here, couldn't hurt. I like drawing characters and blending sci-fi with fantasy. Currently attempting to make a comic featuring my OCs.

antagonists use the "heat-glow & freeze-reflect hybrid" (i have no idea) blending mode, while gods will just be an overlay
Now here, I started putting in highlights around the parts of his body where it'd protrude the most, i.e. where the curves are most outward. It's just my instinct/personal preference. Shown is the layers involved in this. There's a lot of opacity adjustment and blending here!
@chainchomped_ Mostly not!Except for bg, all my layers are of varying opacity because my brushes' opacity depend on pressure, including base colors, so I wouldn't really have anything to clip to. By the time I start blending, I have merged all layers into one! I like how organic it feels too
I decided to take @R0SENKRY’s advice on blending and I tried something new when remaking an old drawing today! Boy did it pay off so tysm! (First drawing is original made in February. Second drawing final result without blending. Last is final result with blending.)
I was thinking about marina and decided to try doodle something to get used to Procreate a lil more. Maybe one day I’ll understand blending 😭😭😭
