Gokinjo Monogatari was next up and continued the run of anime adapted from Ribbon Comics manga.

Gokinjo Monogatari is also directly related to the 2005 anime Paradise Kiss, where the main character Mikako Kouda would also appear.

Next up was Maple Town Monogatari which started in 1986 and had a sequel series the year after.

On first glance it may not look like the most important anime out there but this is actually where some of anime's greatest minds got their big breaks and starts.
