Unlike the first version, I wanted to make sure to include twist joints and such so that that all the movements of the character made sense for their limits.

Also, the values for the metal are fighting each other. The white and silver are too close in value and thus they don't seperate well, yet the secondary body tone is too dark and gives way to the silver. So I'm trying to push the body plates up and the joints down.

It is surprising, but understandable. I know that there’s a revision of amplectobeluid mouths in progress, and even looking at the pictures, it seems like the smooth and tuberculate plates almost come in rows, behind the mouth. Or something. I don’t know.

Playing Parodius has helped me with boss designs / Re-designing the boss templates I've made. What I learned is , there's a lot of emphasis on a "single" weak point. And fairly predictable (but annoying) patterns. Now time to make a mecha tanuki
