@NutWubbs I think something that would help you a lot with your clouds is to start with big brushes painting big shapes, and then slowly moving to smaller brushes with small shapes. Also varied textures would really make your paintings pop! Here's an example I made real quick.
So here are some notes, that I keep in mind as im working in the piece. Number one is main focus and than I try to see where I want the eye to travel using shapes, light and contrast.
Capes, cloaks, and anchor points, oh my!
When drawing the various cloaks, scarves, and ponchos of my characters I often visualize where the anchor point may be. This is affected by gravity!
