Aaaaand a couple more in between steps for those who are curious! Basically I just render out a greyscale version of the model. Put on some color with multiply layers. Draw in the character w/ greyscale + multiply color layers. Then paint over everything!!

Greyscale is a vigilante superhero who acts as a mentor for Dan. She can shoot colorful beams of light from her hands. She can come off as a bit intense, but she means well.

1) irene's og outfit + magic is green, although the comic is in greyscale...i've been amused by how many ppl said they pictured her in blue or purple, luckily i have a cover now so hopefully that helps
