Beta Natu:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Natu was brown and evolved into Xatu via Heart Stone. But that item got scrapped, so in G&S's release version Natu evolved at level 25.

@Thiccest_Bae I miss doing OC art shares!! Gosh these are my children!! That’s A, B and Gabby (or C). They’re mean’t to be flawed recreations of the omnis of god. A is full of shit, B likes to knit (all knitted attire is made by them) and gabby is 7 and likes planes bc his dad is a pilot
Ya girl as an #Arknights Operator
"While her proficiency with firearms and High Explosive weaponry has proven to be invaluable on the field, operator 'Cinder' is currently under probation after misappropriating mission critical resources for recreational use."
this was fun.
Beta Gyarados:
In December 2018, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara showcased Gyarados's Gen 1 beta sprite on Japanese television, revealing the original, much more bizarre Gyarados design.

An old friend of mine sent a photo of them to me and I did two things with it. One: I made them in #Persona5. two: I made a drawing in my style of them #anime #art #artwork #artist #ArtistOnTwitter #Recreation

Lovely recreation of a Baroque masterpiece by Ingram, Aurora Leading Phoebus, https://t.co/uyRoWeV4pS
Beta Suicune:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Suicune was simply named Sui, Japanese for "Water." Some fans believe these early Beast designs are what they looked like BEFORE the tower fire.

Beta Raikou:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, not only did Raikou have a radically different design, but he was simply named Rai -- which translates into English as "Thunder."

@ShinyEevee My first fursona was a cat named Kat, I had them from 2010-2013, after that I switched to Artie who is some weird immortal "fox" spirit.
(the first drawing is actually recent and a recreation of my old style lol)
Beta Entei:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, not only did Entei have a radically different design, but he was simply named En -- which translates into English as "Fire."

Beta Bellossom:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Bellossom's original design was purple. In fact, her G&S release version artwork was purple too -- she didn't get revised to green until later.

Beta Gengar:
With a beta sprite dating back to 1990, and an internal ID number of #14, Gengar was among the earliest Pokemon ever created. What changed in development? His eyes, ears, teeth & chonkiness.

@bahnloopi Never thought about making this connection, the closest dessert would be the recreation of the “gray stuff” from beauty and the beast 😋
Beta Arcanine:
In December 2018, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara showcased some Gen 1 beta sprites on Japanese TV, including Arcanine's -- revealing his original design for the very first time.

@PascalMulokozi I mean....its the standard side profile you see out of a lot of hero series themed media...
commercials tend to do the recreation/parody of something, not the other way around.
Beta Gastly:
Gastly was created around 1990, but he didn't look like the Gastly we know today until around 1995 -- his beta sprite and Red, Green, & Blue sprites reveal what he USED to look like.

Scene recreation of the Sailor Scouts nude gawking at something interesting and confusing to them. Whatever could it be!? A penis, maybe?
This recreation was not an easy one but I think I did pretty okay with it.
