Been hearing a lot about the use of AI in design and illustration recently, thought i'd see what all the fuss is about and had a play with Midjourney. Could be a really useful tool for visually ideating – these are some I did including the prompt.

Here's Midjourney and Dall-e 2, imagining a manga girl and a manga boy. By now you can probably tell which tool made what? Dall-e gets closer to the prompt and Midjourney is more "artistic".

Yes, vectors are great for commercial work, they can be enlarged to any size without the horrible artifacts of raster images, they animate easily, they tend to look clean an uncluttered. But how much can you say with Bezier curves, the pen tool and live corners?

🌀: I love the Cracker Island logo thing the Gorillaz posted up... shit don't gotta be symmetrical to be appealing.

I'm squinting all over and none of this looks like it has the symmetry tool used on it. It's just trust in the pencil and pure talent.

Yeah! All these below used the perspective tool! I’ve only used this and CSP’s perspective tool, and I like how the grid is made through Procreate and how you can edit it, etc. Through using it, I’ve learned a lot how to apply perspective without a grid.❤️
