@ArtMeggles Thanks for the thread! I'm Jess, I'm a digital artist, mostly focusing on character, and I make comics. I like my use of colour; I tend towards muted, but with more vibrant splashes and colourful shadows.
#KaiJune2019 number 6 is the Heat-themed turtle baddie, Turtorch! (Also, I brightened up my KaiJune template - the old one was really muted and kinda uggo). Prompt by @FlanCortes
muted/flat color version of a commission i did for @Sibberina ! thank you again!! 😇💕
~Skunk in Repose~ [2019]
“The piece presents a skunk at rest in an upright posture. The bed of flowers, uncommonly seen alive around such animals, curved lines, and muted coloration mark this as an exemplary Art Nouveau work”.
(another incredible piece from @DrackyPoof! <3 <3)
Dabbled with some new color palettes for my little trash goblin recently; I think I've got two in the works I'll be trying out this year: a day coat (little more muted and soft) and a night coat (more colorful, for fun, spoopy content) <':
How do they look? Anything too clashy?
I'm going to draw more but wanted to post a lil Camille to kick start pride month! #PrideMonth #lgbtartist #lgbtcomics #mutedwebtoon
@BriarRosie I hope you see this, seeing as you muted it before I joined this thead.
MAN LIKE LOOK AT THESE MUTED TONES I LOVE IT.
But this pilling texture is not love and I'm debating restarting before I get too far... UGH....

Funny how muted tones can really be amazing to work with (don't hit me i'm used to happy colors all day long ><)
@saionart_ @moriisun Hey all, I’m Toby! I’m a 16 year old digital and traditional artist! I love muted pastel colors, and RPG’s like DnD and Fallout. Mobile won’t let me post any more pics, but check me out if you’re interested!
@Demonpuppy I can never bring myself to use muted colors. I’m a fan of the retro/pop feel when it comes to colors. I really let it loose on this piece, and I like how it turned out.
The hint of red on the lining of this otherwise muted kimono are just perfect!
Reflection in a Mirror by Tatsumi Shimura, 1953.
i still don't understand what I was thinking with muted colours like this. Like past-bruneburg why did u like to make ur stuff so hard to see
here's another example, before and after with a drawing from the same time. maybe the changes are a tad extreme but I felt like it
@The_Hydroxian desaturating the background might help make the colors more appealing? especially with these pretty muted colors.
i really dig your color choice though, gives a metal gear solid concept art kinda vibe
