i drew frankenstein('s monster)! i used 7B and 9B graphite pencils and conte for this piece and i blended with cotton balls and cotton swabs. this is my first time using this blending technique and my first time attempting to go for a realistic skin texture 🧟🖤

At first I wanted to digitally colour the sketch, but I couldn't figure out how to get the lines dark enough while keeping the background white, so, lineart had to happen.

Blending colours in pixelart is VERY hard.
With only 22500 pixels, things are going to look rigid and rough... Probably why so many pixel artists use flats.

The example on the top left is quite old, but this collection of images shows how I blend.

If u guys recall I was working on this piece and practicing skin shading. Btw I want to know what my fellow mutuals prefer when it comes to shading do you guys do simple shading or detailed? And by simple I mean like 2-4 colors with no blending
