A follow-up to Thursday’s crash and burn monotype attempt… I needed the inked plate to dry just a bit. I find I can’t rush Akua inks. Trying to do it all in 20 minute pose…Sometimes, spontaneous choices aren’t the best, but they do keep life exciting!

I saved some process scans of the NIMH piece for you to examine. This is as far as I usually go on pencils and inks before coloring. I go very fast on this first stages and often forget to pause for a minute to save these kind of WIP images before they're lost.
