Beta Smoochum:
In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Smoochum was originally a pure Ice-type named "Rippu" (Lip). But she was later renamed, redesigned, and revised to Ice/Psychic.

Here's a proper look at the BLU Scout with his correct pants colour. Notice how on the old texture, his belt loops are blue, but the rest of his pants aren't.
Special thanks to Jasper for allowing me to use the screenshots of his recreation.

Early Sneasel:
Sneasel's Gold & Silver sprite was created first, then later, Ken Sugimori changed the design drastically when he made Sneasel's official artwork. However, the original design was still used in-game.

Early Dragonite:
Dragonite's Red & Green sprite is his earliest known design, pre-dating his official artwork. Dragonite's sprite shows a ridge running down his back -- but it was later revised out of his design.

Beta Remoraid:
Remoraid's Japanese name is Teppouo, meaning "Watergun Fish." This is likely because in Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, his original design was based on a revolver.

had a dream last night that there was a new kind of gastrodon but it was yellow, had really big square-shaped head adornments & stood on stumpy legs instead of slinking around. heres a bad ms paint recreation so i wouldnt forget abt it an hour after waking up lol
For @Lime2110 I didnt do an exact recreation of any of the pics but I hope you still like it. From the four pics you gave, I got this cutesy bromance vibe so I drew this, they're honestly the cutest🥺🥺🥺
Early Dratini:
Dratini's Red & Green sprite -- his earliest known design, pre-dating his artwork -- shows he originally had a segmented belly. His later Blue sprite used this design as well.

I spent all day drawing and one of my friends kept 'laying on my paper' so I did the only reasonable thing!

Im also very proud of this, and surprised myself with it)
The guy who played Congressman Murray on “Parks & Recreation” played Roy Earle in “L.A. Noire” and I didn’t know ‘til today omg.
Beta Clefairy:
Clefairy's beta design was one of the first 3 Pokemon ever created. Originally, trainers used Clefairy as a pet, Rhydon to carry things, and Lapras to transport them over the sea.
