Yes, the cape, shoulder pad, and leather strap count as asymmetry. Asymmetry creates flow within the shapes and little areas of interest. I think Gail's issue is the amount of asymmetry. Too much and the flow is confusing, and the costume looks busy with no place to rest the eye

Just look at the couple and ignore the BG 🙈 I know that depth is missing. Maybe with darker areas or something like that, the BG are still so difficult for me, but I hope you like it🥰

I'm not super experienced either so take it with a grain of salt, but there are softer areas in the body where fingers (or the second knuckles) can reach deeper than a fist. For example, the neck or the eyes.

The typical karate side chop, for instance, is tailor-made for necks.

Just finished playing through Ys IX: Monstrum Nox and while I thought it was overall good I can see the engine and gameplay cracks showing as it's a bit rough it many areas. I did like the character designs even if the NPCs are a bit lacking even in anime game terms.
