Trying to improve my lineart. I saw something about making lines thicker as they meet. Also I'm trying to detail Ember's hair more based on some recent commissions cause it looks really nice when it isn't just a few strokes. What do you guys think?

In bold and frenzied strokes
a certain power is wielded,
like the sharpened stroke
of a mighty honed sword,
cutting through sinewed
layers of fragmented reality
hanging like stained windows
in a colored cathedral,
a sacred place of intensity.

Now begins the journey of learning how to digitally paint.

Day 1: First paint and managed to get the idea down. I still need to work on shading, refining the edges, and overall just use my brush strokes correctly :)

While much more subtle, also employs overlaid strokes, especially in the head of the dog. It's important to note that the values in the dog's face are very close to the values in the background.

Experimenting with the placement of 3D brushstrokes as objects in scenes created inside a sphere. I used the shapes below as stencils to change the model's triangles into brushstrokes.

Then the lightning! I used a cold color too because I wanted the drawing to look spooky and cold for real, this place is as welcoming as a brick. Same as for the shading: hard brush, blend, texturing! For the hair I just make my blender smaller and do lot of small strokes in it.

Appreciation Art Post for Elena Kucharik!!

She made not only the original artworks of Care Bears but in my opinion the most iconic 💖

Her brush strokes and color combination are so soft and neat, her work is just one of the best child illustration wise 💖

This year, I've seen all of you. The little bad habits, but also the strokes of genius. In my eyes, these all make you perfect.

You're always occupying my time... and my mind.

Happy Anniversary, my little idiot~
