The inspiration from this drawing comes from the archon war, I think it's very likely that Zhongli and Azhdaha fought together and I wanted to portray that.

Azhdaha came to his senses when his two fragments emerged. He travelled across Liyue and took back what the erosion had stolen from him as he's eager to redeem himself and see the world once again. He'd often forget but he'd always do his best to remember.
