The Laurel Nymph.

By using an obvious wreath shape I tried to hint the laurel tree it is made from to reference a certain legend about the nymph Daphne and The sun god Apollo.

Clytie the sea nymph meets a flowery end in Storytime Issue 60's Greek myth. Did her two-faced lover the sun god Helios get what he deserved? Not in this story, but in the long term he got upstaged and replaced by Apollo. Take that, Helios! 😁 Art by 🌸

There are many hand tutorials out there, so this is more of a guide to draw gestures of hands quickly. There's only 3 parts that you should know: mount of Venus, mount of Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and Apollo. As always, anatomy takes backseat to gesture, especially when abstracted.
