Day 24 - Cliffhangers
Love them! In my Kindle Vella series Game the Show and Home for Halloween, I often use them at the ends of episodes. I have a few mini-cliffhangers throughout Autumn Springs too. ✨

#FantasyIndiesJanuary 16—What inspired your MC’s name? [Emily Brown Haven]
Emily’s just a name I rather like. Brown was a nod to former LA Kings’ captain, Dustin Brown. And Haven is integral to her backstory in many ways I won’t spoil here.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 13:WIP Fight or Action Scene
The last fight I wrote was a novitiate fight that completed Trixie’s and Colm’s training. But I’ve scrapped that since.
So here’s art of the inciting incident, gorgeously done by @KyandiAkatensei !

Demitri isn't a pet, technically. He's a witch familiar. But he's a very good boy nevertheless (and he talks).

#FantasyIndiesJanuary 10. Pets in WIP
Rascal is Celine’s pet/familiar. He’s a kitsper—a creature born out of the merging of the magical and ordinary worlds. As you can see, he’s a bit like a cat…with some notable differences. He’s a fav.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Pets in #WIP
Horses are the most common pets, although more like companions. Pensilea has an army of crows and horse named Morrigana.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 10: Pets
Trixie grew up on a dairy farm. Though she and her family often had to collect product from their livestock, she sees them as pets. She also a family horse, Cobbler, and a raven she befriends, Lugh.

#fantasyindiesjanuary Day 9 - MC Appearance
I hate to say it, but Penelope is kind of a stereotypical European-esque fantasy princess. This is one of my fav art pieces of her from @Akanetto2

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 9: MC Description
My novel has two main characters: Regal and Keir. Regal is the tall, dark, and handsome demon with a difficult past, while Keir is the blue-eyed, blond angel who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Character Looks
Here are drafts of my MC Finlay and her LI, Evander.
Finlay has coppery hair (couldn’t quite get the color right here). She’s tall and slender.
Evander is slim but strong.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary 3—First line in WIP
At first, there is only the silence—an oppressive hush that presses down upon everything with a great weight. The world is silent; the silence is the world.

#FantasyIndiesDecember 19. Attire in WIP
One nice thing about writing a book (and series) that spans across worlds and eras is that your characters end up wearing a wide variety of things.
