71st Highland Light Infantry skirmish in an Iberian town.
As a light infantry regiment, they were one of the few Highland regiment to wear trouser rather than kilts.
They also suffered one of the highest casualty rates (a mixture of disease/climate as well as enemy action)

OTD 1600 Mountjoy got tactical in the Moyry Pass as he sent 2 infantry regiments to assault the Irish trenches on the left flank. A demonstration by 5 regts at the barricades tried to draw off the Irish but the attack was strongly rebuffed by Tyrone's counterattack #nineyearswar

Uniforms of the 3rd Hussar Regiment of the French army, circa-1805. This unit performed brilliantly at the Battle of Elchingen, which we will be talking about next episode.

But II Corps would take two hours to reach Semenovskoe and Bagration’s situation was already desperate. Tuchkov detached Konovnitsyn’s 3rd Division to reinforce Bagration, and the Izmailovsky and Litovsky (Lithuanian) Guards regiments were authorised to bolster the left.
