Second, the dentaries (tooth-bearing bones of the lower jaw) are relatively short compared to other mosasaurs (i.e., Tylosaurus), much like in today’s shell-crushing lizards, incl. the caiman lizard (Dracaena) & Nile monitor (Varanus)!

A mid sized eurypterid with the largest at 60 cm, commonly known as sea scorpions, they are more closely related to horseshoe crabs

ALT: some specimens where split as different genera due to body differences, but this one was merged back as a possible juvenile

okay I finished the Dunkie thingie, Dunkleosteus terreli a magnificent late Devonian leviathan, the first biggest vertebrate on fossil record with specimens reaching sizes about 6 to almost 9 meters in length.

An anhanguerid with a 5 meter wingspan known from fragmentary specimens, its named after a nickname used to refer to isle of Wight inhabitants

ALT: the jaw was found without the teeth, thanks to the tooth sockets and replacement teeth their sizes can be inferred
