Honestly as far as “Generic/Canonically Mass produced” Mech designs go, these are about as perfect as I could ask for

Initially had a side villian use the GP02 MLRS and later a Doven wolf but settled on a Zaku iii commander since it made more sense story wise for what I had planned with that villan

On paper, the Zaku II's backpack doesn't seem to have a place for thrusters (the first episode of MSG put them on the bottom). Even ZZ Gundam kept this detail. However the Doan's Island movie just had the curved part open like a hatch.

Finally got to watch it!

I would say the best parts of the show are the action scenes be it Doans Zaku and the Gundam even the antagonists of the movie they really shine! (1/2)
