Can keep the rant going, but I feel those who read the novels or are following Wikia Podcast for summaries know where I'm going with this.
Stories got bigger without meaningful substance, leading to massive bloat. Stories need proper focus.

We got an incomplete 2 Volume Side Story due to its bloat, Progressive lost significant steam on Floor 7 despite F6 working well, UR cornered itself and is running on fumes of Eugeo-bait for multiple volumes...

Finally managed to finish #SwordArtOnline Progressive v8, with a record low reading pace of a couple tens of pages a week. Pretty much the lowest since my Moon Cradle (v19) read.
Floor 7 had no reason to be 2 Volumes, the amount of bloat was excessive.

Isn't this quite an unexpected twist? Ms. Chalice's been put under some sought of magical weight gain increaser spell, and her belly has bloated to huge proportions, which has torn her shirt to shreds. Not even Cuphead and Mugman can solve this mysterious problem.

Perhaps as a reaction to the bloat in Gen 4, the 5th Gen covers 2001-2002 and is the smallest in a while. Once again, it's not necessarily led by the V-Pets, but by the Tamers anime (and recolors of the anime Digimon).

This one didn't work for me. The main antagonist sucks, the cast is way too big with prior important characters having nothing to do, and bloated runtime episodes that kill the pacing as well as devote way too much time to nonsense unrelated to the main story.

His fighting days might be over but King Bloat (Just King now thanks) isn't the slightest bit less of a Ravenous Rat! Now being one of the faces of his wife's vore casual app "Date and Dash" he's never been more gluttonous even in his prime!

Something I learned from Tolkein's lore is that expanding and adding depth is not necessarily bloat.

In fact "Bloat" world building or "World Building syndrome" are problems true, but do not shy from the depth. My IP world is deeper than the Ocean, which is better than it is

#24) Sim Tower

I played DAYS worth of Sim Tower. If you've never checked it out before, I recommend it. It does eventually get kinda samey and tiring, just trying to keep this bloated ugly tower going. But god bless it, it's still fun even today to crack open for a bit.
