The premade cover with this art has already sold, but it's still a favorite of mine. I was experimenting with shade. Normally I go the straightforward route and just darker colors for the bottom, below the text. Here I wanted to get more complex with the mist and the skirt.

4/ The B-17B ↖️ had a bigger rudder and flaps.
The B-17C did away with the side blisters. ↗️
The B-17D ↙️↘️added twin mounts on top and bottom, etc. Frankly, I don't see them so perhaps someone can clarify.
