I liked the idea of reinterpreting this scene as a complex, genderless, boundless world where organisms work together.

I think the problem with Tynion's Shiva is that they *teased* her to be more complex, but she really wasn't. They left all these cryptic clues about why she left Ra's & how she wasn't really evil, but at the end of the day, she was still trying to nuke Gotham & make Cass kill.
