That silvery light surely derives from Corot. What I find interesting about his later work is that it's half way between naturalistic and dreamy. His Impressionist works are excellent.

Morisot visited the Louvre to copy as part of her ‘finishing’ & met Corot, Monet & Manet there. Corot introduced her (1860) to painting ‘en plein air’ & to the immediacy of observation & depiction. She continued to train under artists until 1864. Copy of Veronese (1858)

The identity of the figure in this painting is unknown. Her facial expression is difficult to read, but her heavily-lidded eyes and sloping shoulders suggest weariness with the world.
