Idk if she draws them consistently static, but Colleen Doran draws my favorite lenses (favorite Spidey overall, tbh) and I've never really seen them drawn with any emotion. Alex Ross also does fantastic static lenses, love his mirrored looked with matte black edges.

For example, with Sonic I find readiness, control, and sturdiness, while Mario's design is evoking love, tenderness, and maturity.
