In hardmode, once the percentage of the ML goes up to 70%+ it will close and only a color gauge bar appears. The only way to see it is to pay after having physical contact with the ML.
Here we see a nod to the anime Dragon Ball! Both with the pressure gauge being "OVER 9000!" in pressure as well as the Dragonball radar screen with the dragonballs displayed!
