“Of the fabric of Earth had Aulë thought, to whom Ilúvatar had given skin and knowledge scarce less than to Melkor; but the delight and pride of Aulë is in the deed of making, and in the thing made, and neither in possession nor in his own mastery.” — The Silmarillion

“But as the theme progressed, it came into the heart of Melkor to interweave matters of his own imagining that were not in accord with the theme of Ilúvatar, for he sought therein to increase the power and glory of the part assigned to himself.” — The Silmarillion

Who is a fan of Melkor/Morgoth? And who would like to see a video on him? :P

Kokeilin sormella piirtämistä/maalaamista uuden puhelimen Procreate Pocket -apilla. Onhan tuo melkoista sohimista, mutta menee paremman puutteessa. Kuvassa joku Tampereen Pyrinnön kannattaja korismatsissa.

Beren is one of the most important people to date. He stood up against Melkor and managed to take one of the Silmarils.

I laughed at this drawing. Melkor forces Hurin to watch the movie of his children's adventures.

Melkor concept art. The first one is the final design. Funfact: he's my first dnd character. He's a warlock who uses his Tarokka cards to find secrets. He is for campaign but after the second session it is sadly discontinued. So my character is dead.

Of course I did a few pieces featuring He is the original dark lord after all. Here he is having a good time after being scarred by the eagles, mourning the death of his dragon child, and also his weapon Grond after its master was thrown into the Void. Waiting.

I did much of my Inktober pieces for the Silmarillion this year ~ here's some of our favourite dark lords doing dark deeds together! & enchanting Grond, hanging out in dark halls and overgrown ruins, and being general misfits in Arda

In the northern fortress, Finwë proved a vulnerable target for Melkor, who stormed Formenos' iron vaults and Fëanor's prize.

Melkor slew Finwë and stole away with the Silmarils, aided by the Unlight of Ungoliant.

Tulkas, who among the Valar welcomed conflict with Melkor, sought to persuade Fëanor to surrender the Silmarils.

Wisely he saw that Melkor's corruption of Fëanor came from a desire to possess the last remaining light of the Two Trees.

Sauron after joining Melkor, and then when he was still Mairon before being “seduced” to the dark side. A quick one cause I wanted to draw my old design for him again

J.R.R. The was published 42 years ago. Here is a majestic depiction by kuliszu of its epic opening, the Ainulindalë: the harmony of the Music of the Ainur and the Discord of Melkor.
