Many Norwegian folktales tell of men who meet ravishingly beautiful and seductive hulders (forest nymphs) when they are alone in the wilderness. If the man succumbed to the temptation, he would be spellbound by the hulder, but fire or steel could help keep the hulders at bay.

Kafka on the Shore and Norwegian Wood have a mellow, that you can feel more after finishing the read. I created these art pieces while beginning to develop an appreciation for narrative illustrations. I think I was able to successfully convey the emotion besides the flaws.
