For real though, as a perfectionist, it was v freeing for me to get out my gel pens and cheap coloured pencils, and make art without trying to be 'good' - instead just drawing for the joy of it! Would highly recommend

Not that I think this is useless, this is certainly a useful tip for struggling, perfectionist artists.
I’ll definitely be using this in the future, and one day I will get to a point where I can do line art without sketching.

@emilypearsonart I think I’d do more sketching. With the desire to share my art, I get far more ambitious with the pieces I create (like the watercolor below, that’s about the minimum I’ll post at least on Instagram). I’m a little more flexible and less perfectionist on Twitter.
