Rocket felt like a side character in her own arc. From constantly being talked over in meetings, to not being able to show off the full range of her abilities, it felt like her personal development was being sacrificed for the overarching plot.

I've always thought that having PCs play an RPG in-game is a fun session. It can be unrelated to the main plot. Or it could magically alter the events in the PCs' real world. Both options are good and would be memorable sessions IMO.
