With my last full drawing, you'll notice that all of the lines are almost completely uniform in their thickness, which is just boring

With those small details like the buttons, I really should've used a smaller pen

Just compare the line thickness of the left one to the right one.

One has clear outlines, one very thin lines all over the place. This makes it very difficult to parse visually. The fact that the background pops as much as the foreground doesn't help either.
