What are ur very specific style inspos, mine are:

coloring edges of eyes red: enstars
incomplete(?) coloring when doodling: trying to emulate natsume yuujincho endings soft style but remembering it wrong
Coloring lips: korean dress up games from when i was like 12

i'm trying a new painting style, less lines and with more edges (?), kind like it but i'm still suck drawing hands @_@ Diana and Rosalinda, in the Alvorada's universe. Diana belongs to @bactoriz .

Here's a quick rendered comparison + Freestyle in #blender. The sharp edges and creases on the 2D model "tell" Freestyle where the lines should go and exaggerate + define the form. There's also some visual things to know like the depth of the mouth.

Trying to do that weird corset thing on Resplendent Olwen's armour was tricky but I am overall satisfied with the result.

I also opted to try and introduce softer edges to my usual colouring style. Might give it another go on a simpler design. #FEH #FANART

MLP-fanart! This was supposed to be a male version of Gilda, but I suppose you can't really see that. I still like the color palette though. Also the first time I worked with tape around the edges.

Next up is shading! As for cel vs soft; cel is hard edged, and soft is soft/gradient edges. Which is easier depends on the person, so do some experimentation and see what suits you best!! For the tutorial I’ll be using a mix of the two, here’s some examples (cel, soft, and mixed)

Sketch I did of some Wonder Woman cosplay by Kilory back in 2019. Kept the values pretty light in this one, really like the effect it has on the piece. I think I could have done better with my use of hard edges though - everything feels a little too soft and uncertain.
